Student organization raises money for your education

While Kent State is a public university, support from the state is continuing to diminish to 20 percent.

That other 80 is being raised right here on the Kent State campus.

You may think that the student body has no say in the donations, but let me introduce you to a group called Flashanthropy.

Flashanthropy, as their called, is KSU’s student run philanthropy group specifically dedicated to raising funds to undergraduate students.

The organization is split up into four committees assigned to different interests.

The group has raised nearly $98,000 since its formation in 2006.

You can even donate on their website flashanthropy.com
