On a campus that is home to nearly 30,000 students, a large portion of these graduates study under the wing of the College of Communication and Information.

Leaving the question: who is the current Dean of CCI, and what exactly does she do?

The Kent State University College of Communication and information is one of the only colleges within the United States that has such a diverse combination of communication, information and visual disciplines under one Umbrella.

The mission of the college of communication and information is to educate students to meet their specific goals as well as the needs of society.

Throughout the University, there is an influx of Deans that look over each specific College of study. They are responsible for Coordinating administrative activities, approving faculty hiring’s, evaluating faculty performance and creating academic policies and programs.

Following a national search, Amy Reynolds has been selected to serve as the new Dean of Kent State University’s College of Communication and Information. Todd Diacon, Kent State’s senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, made the announcement this week.

Reynolds will be coming over from LSU and will join Kent State’s faculty on July 1st.

There will be lot on Amy Reynolds plate once she arrives at the University and many of the students will be eagerly anticipating what she brings to CCI
